Six days after the defeat (0-2) against Aston Villa and three days after the elimination against Bayern Munich, the Gunners achieved an important “double” (0-2) against Wolves.

In the game now, Arsenal had the initiative throughout the game, doubling the opponent thanks to Trossard’s beautiful finish in the 45th minute.

In fact, the Belgian midfielder – who is one of the Gunners’ main protagonists this season – reached nine goals in the championship this year (and 14 in total), setting an individual record for goals in his years in the Premier League.

The visitors controlled the pace in the second half, closing the “three points” at 90’+5′ with Edegaard.

Highlights:

Girona, who destroyed Cádiz 4-1, guaranteeing their first European participation!

Europe get ready, Girona is coming!

The first European ticket in its history was secured by Mitchell’s impressive team! And indeed, with… style (as in the longest sequence this season), defeating Cádiz 4-1 at home in the 32nd game of La Liga.

Of course, it still remains to be seen where the ball will be for the European passage, with Girona – 3rd placed and now +10 from 5th – wanting and being able to go to the Champions League (combining the new format for the first time).

In the purely competitive part, the home team gained a quick two-goal lead with Garcia (9′) and Martin (22′). Two more goals, from their top scorer, Artem Dovbik (71′) and Porto (82′). In the middle, in the 81st minute, Cádiz – which remains in a very difficult position as it is in the relegation zone – redeemed its several opportunities with Escalade’s goal of honor.

Earlier, in the game that opened the calendar on Saturday (20/4), Telta  took a deep breath to stay by winning 4-1 at home against  Las Palmas  . The visitors had possession of the ball, but the Galicians had the substance. From then on they reached victory and in fact with a comeback, in which Tasos Douvikas put his signature long and wide.

Las Palmas took the lead in the 11th minute through Herzog. However, Telta turned things around before the break with… a three-minute play, with their leader, Iago Aspas, scoring in the 37th minute and assisting Swedberg in the 39th minute!

In the second half, the Greek striker came into action. Initially, therefore, he entered the field in the 66th minute. In the 71st minute he received the ball from Aspas and scored with a neat finish, while in the 76th minute the two players exchanged positions.

A great European double for Betis,  who won 2-1 at Valencia  ,  thereby overtaking them and moving up to 7th place.

A great protagonist of the “verdiblancos”, from which the injured Sokratis Papastathopoulos was absent, was Ayothe Pereth. The Spanish winger opened the scoring in the 19th minute, Pepelou responded in the 66th minute with a penalty and Perez returned in the 77th minute to make it 1-2.

A great victory also for Rayo Vaguecano,  who beat  Osasuna  2-1 and somehow seem to be… getting rid of the possibility of staying. The visitors took the lead in the 29th minute through Moi Gometh, but the home team scored in the final through Chavaria (80′) and Palathon (84′). It should be noted that the 20-year-old goalkeeper, Dimitris Stamatakis, was on the Osasuna bench.
